Time
A 24-hour clock counts from 00:00 after midnight up to 23:59 before the next midnight. It does not use am or pm. Afternoon and evening times usually have an hour value greater than 12.
Afternoon times
18:45 is the same as 6:45 pm.
For pm times, the 24-hour hour is more than 12.
Analogue still matches
An analogue clock showing quarter past 8 in the evening matches 20:15.

Worked example
Write 7:35 pm in 24-hour time.
- 7:35 pm is in the evening.
- For pm times, add 12 to the hour.
- 7 + 12 = 19.
- So the 24-hour time is 19:35.
